Some operations need to be protected by the cxl_region_rwsem in construct_region(). Currently, construct_region() uses down_write() and up_write() for the cxl_region_rwsem locking, so there is a goto pattern after down_write() invoked to release cxl_region_rwsem. construct region() can be optimized to remove the goto pattern. The changes are creating a new function called __construct_region() which will include all checking and operations protected by the cxl_region_rwsem, and using guard(rwsem_write) to replace down_write() and up_write() in __construct_region(). Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
