This patch adds a new CLI argument for overriding the default function prefix, as used for naming the doit/dumpit functions in the generated kernel code. When not specified the default "$(FAMILY)-nl" is used. This can also be specified persistently in generated files: /* YNL-ARG --function-prefix wg */ In the above example it causes the following changes: wireguard_nl_get_device_dumpit() -> wg_get_device_dumpit() wireguard_nl_get_device_doit() -> wg_get_device_doit() The variable name fn_prefix, was chosen as it relates to op_prefix which is used to prefix the UAPI commands enum entries. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
