The Amlogic Meson SAR ADC driver can be used on Meson8 and Meson8b
(probably on earlier SoC generations as well, but I don't have any
hardware available for testing that).
Add a separate compatible for Meson8 and Meson8b because it does not
need any of the BL30 magic (unlike the GX SoCs).

isl29030 is basically the same chip. The only difference
is the chip's first pin. For isl29028 its named ADDR0 and
can be used to change the chip's i2c address. For isl29030
on the other hand that pin is named Ials and is an analog
current output proportional to ALS/IR. This change is
irrelevant for the Linux driver.
This has been tested on Motorola Droid 4.

This adds max1117/max1118/max1119 8-bit, dual-channel ADC driver.
This new driver uses the zero length spi_transfers with the cs_change
flag set and/or the non-zero delay_usecs.
1. The zero length transfer with the spi_transfer.cs_change set is
required in order to select CH1. The chip select line must be brought
high and low again without transfer.
2. The zero length transfer with the spi_transfer.delay_usecs > 0 is
required for waiting the conversion to be complete. The conversion
begins with the falling edge of the chip select. During the conversion
process, SCLK is ignored.
These two usages are unusual. But the spi controller drivers that use
a default implementation of transfer_one_message() are likely to work.
(I've tested this adc driver with spi-omap2-mcspi and spi-xilinx)
On the other hand, some spi controller drivers that have their own
transfer_one_message() may not work. But at least for the zero length
transfer with delay_usecs > 0, I'm proposing a new testcase for the
spi-loopback-test that can test whether the delay_usecs setting has
taken effect.

In order to accommodate in a logical manner for the premuxed channels
in PM8921 and the similarly addressed channels in later PMICs, we
need a twocell arrangement with premux and analog mux setting as
a tuple to uniquely identify a hardware channel.
These bindings are not yet in use, so it should be fine to augment
them before we actually start using it in drivers and device trees.
This scheme came out of lengthy discussions and reverse-engineering
and reading of the few information sources we have.

The mpu9250 is a SIP containing an mpu6500 and an ak8975. If this was all
there was too it there would be no need for explicit handling in the driver.
Arguably the bindings would also only reflect the presence of an mpu6500 with
the ak8975 hanging off it, as the kernel doesn't care that they are in one
package.
However, the WHOAMI value changes as well so best to add explicit support.

bindings are documented elsewhere, but it seems sensible to at least have
an example and cross reference in here. SPI bindings will need to be the

On Motorola phones like droid 4 there is a custom CPCAP PMIC. This PMIC
has ADCs that are used for battery charging and USB PHY VBUS and ID pin
detection.
Unfortunately the only documentation for this ADC seems to be the
Motorola mapphone Linux kernel tree. I have tested that reading raw and
scaled values works, but I have not used the timed sampling that the ADC
seems to support.
Let's add a minimal support for it so we can eventually provide IIO
channels for the related battery charging and USB PHY drivers.

Commit 52060836f7 ("dt-bindings: omap-rng: Document SafeXcel IP-76
device variant") update the omap_rng Device Tree binding to add support
for the IP-76 variation of the IP. As part of this change, a "clocks"
property was added, but is indicated as "Required", without indicated
it's actually only required for some compatible strings.
This commit fixes that, by explicitly stating that the clocks property
is only required with the inside-secure,safexcel-eip76 compatible
string.

long time but it's finally fixed.
f_hid learned that it should never access hidg->req without first
grabbing the spinlock.
Roger Quadros fixed two bugs in the f_uvc function driver.
Janusz Dziedzic fixed a very peculiar bug with EP0, one that's rather
difficult to trigger. When we're dealing with bounced EP0 requests, we
should delay unmap until after ->complete() is called.
UDC class got a use-after-free fix.

This reverts commit c8ca631f94 ("dt-bindings: phy: Add documentation
for NSP USB3 PHY") to match reverting commit adding the new PHY driver.
Please note we revert this commit before it reached stable release.
If new compatible string is needed it should be added to the existing
bcm-ns-usb3-phy.txt which already describes this PHY.

Remove the max_{power,current}_{sp,bp} properties of the usb251xb driver
from devicetree. This is done to simplify the dt bindings as requested
by Rob Herring in https://lkml.org/lkml/2017/2/15/1283. If those
properties are ever needed by somebody they can be enabled again easily.

This patch adds documentation for a new "phy-handle" property,
"fixed-link" and "mdio" sub-node. These allows the enumeration
of PHYs which are supported by the phy library under drivers/net/phy.
The EMAC ethernet controller in IBM and AMCC 4xx chips is
currently stuck with a few privately defined phy
implementations. It has no support for PHYs which
are supported by the generic phylib.

It turns out that in the CP110 HW block present in Marvell Armada
7K/8K SoCs, gatable clock n°18 not only controls SD/MMC, but also the
GOP block. This commit updates the Device Tree binding for this piece
of hardware accordingly.

Pull ARM SoC late DT updates from Arnd Bergmann:
"These updates have been kept in a separate branch mostly because they
rely on updates to the respective clk drivers to keep the shared
header files in sync.
This includes two branches for arm64 dt updates, both following up on
earlier changes for the same platforms that are already merged:
Samsung:
- add USB3 support in Exynos7
- minor PM related updates
Amlogic:
- new machines: WeTek Set-top-boxes
- various devices added to DT
There are also a couple of bugfixes that trickled in since the start
of the merge window:
- The moxart_defconfig was not building the intended platform
- CPU-hotplug was broken on ux500
- Coresight was broken on Juno (never worked)"

The triplet present in "opp-microvolt" property should be in the order
<target min max>, while all the examples have it in the order
<min target max>.
Fix it.

actual dts files have it wrong.
